On 28 April 2023, a Police Sensitisation Workshop with respect procedures related to animal protection was conducted by Haridwar Police wherein Smt Gauri Maulekhi, Trustee, People For Animals (PFA) and Member Secretary, PFA Uttarakhand and PFA Public Policy Foundation (PPF) was invited as the primary resource person.

Practical challenges in dealing with animal cruelty matters; Procedures under The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960; Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007 etc. were discussed. A solution-oriented approach was demonstrated by all attendees.
